Flomedia Aquaponics

A classic Flomedia style system, with media beds and DWC troughs performing in tandem with the Aquaculture setup. The farm produces an assorted mix of staples like spinach and coriander, to exotics like kale and lettuce. Madhavi Aquaponics services their market with variety and volume. The media bed production focuses on tomato, beans, and eggplant. With both direct consumer and business sales, the marketing model is unique at this scale in India.

Solar Powered Greenhouse

A 75-kilowatt array of photovoltaic cells generate power to support the system operations. Battery storage is in place as a backup for the nights and a diesel generator is always on standby to ensure redundancy. The design emboldens the concept of sustainability in a region where energy is still a premium. It is probably the world’s first solar-powered Aquaponic greenhouse.
